BACH – Bologna | Art | Culture | Hub of Leggere Strutture a new urban regeneration project through art and culture for the community – In the heart of Bologna, a new artists’ house for performing and multidisciplinary arts will be born.

A new urban regeneration project is underway for the former Bocce (Italian bowling game) Association in via Zanardi 230, which includes a complete redevelopment plan for the internal and external spaces made possible by the co-design agreement between the Navile District of the Municipality of Bologna and the Leggere Strutture Art Factory association, which will give new life to the space by transforming it into a home for artists and for the community.

The project, born and developed together with Arci Bologna, will be realized, thanks to the cultural association Leggere Strutture Art Factory, as a center for artistic and creative production of performing arts, training and live entertainment at an international level.

The Leggere Strutture Hub project has obtained funding from the Emilia-Romagna Region, additionally, an important thank you also goes to the company Marchesi Movimento Terra srl, technical partner that has done the initial work.

The project aims to transform the former Bocce (Italian bowling game) space into a new cultural hub that aims to create an international artistic center for the city and all artists.

An Artists’ House dedicated to the performing arts, training and live entertainment. Inside the spaces of the future Leggere Strutture Hub, social and community activities for citizens, families, young people and children will also be promoted

The project

A Cultural and Social Innovation Hub has as its primary objectives the creation of

Multidisciplinary Center for the Arts, a House of Artists and Art: becoming an artistic and cultural reference point for the territory that works at a national and international level on production, research and training.
A wider range of training and professional offerings for new emerging talents.
Creative Periphery: reviving the suburbs by inserting the area into a lively and culturally significant environment.
Connections: promoting collaborations, partnerships and new networking for the redevelopment and evolution of a multidisciplinary and multifunctional hub.
Community: creating a space open to citizens, families, children, teenagers, the disabled and the elderly. An active intercultural space that responds to the needs of the territory with social and cultural activities useful to the community.
Accessible and democratic culture: promoting a cultural environment that is inclusive and accessible, ensuring greater social cohesion for the benefit of broader knowledge, strengthening ties and respect with the territory.

A space accessible to all where culture, art and creativity can meet in a project with an international scope to promote mutual need and interest through artistic and cultural sensitivity.
